Good times with the Rock So Fresh familia once again. If you’re familiar with the blog, you should already know these two individuals. If not … ah well. Just sit back and watch the video or something.
Anyways, I’ve been talking to these two cats about getting em’ into the studio. Not only that, but I’ve been wanting to experiment with photographing BBoys with all the fancy shmancy equipment that comes along with using a studio that isn’t mine. SHOUT OUT TO THE FRESH YARD FOR CONTINUOUSLY BEING KIND ENOUGH TO ALLOW ME TO USE THEIR EQUIPMENT! Also, props to Mike Logic for coming through and showing support. Word.
But anyways. BBoys in the studio. No fancy alley way or stage was involved. Just a white backdrop. Also, I told them to not even look at the damn camera if they were going to get into their cool dance moves. Why? Because I think a BBoy looking into the camera while they’re getting down just doesn’t looks as raw … . sometimes … most of the times. Knamean?
On a more comedic tip. The two cats brought their entire wardrobe. On the real … they could have flown out to Europe for a week with the amount of clothing and shoes they brought. Me … I would have rolled in with a reversible Anorak jacket and long white tee. Then after the first outfit, reverse the jacket … BOOM. Second outfit. We went from a white jacket to a red one son. But here is a small dosage of the material we were able to take that day.

Another evening of good music brought to you by The Match Up.
Much love goes out to both of our guests. Faye Boogie driving down all the way from LA sho’ did come in kickin down doors. She definitley gave Mr. Saso a good run for his money. San Diego representative Saso on the other hand did his thing duckin’ and weavin’ while laying it down against Ms. Feyla.
Both mos definitely rocked the crowd. But Saso’s opening song … comedy. Shout out to Rock So Fresh, World Famous, Illest Villans, Hybrid Crew, Bang-Uh-Rang, War Orphans, and all the good looking men and women that came through to show support.

Another trip to LA for C.A. This is going to mark the 4th one I’ve been to and it’s still going strong. High five to Jeskilz once again for throwing down another successful event.
So, t’was a good jam. For all of you that missed it … sucks for you.
Why? Teknyc and Kmel. I don’t know what the hell was going on with those two. They sho’ looked mad and they definitely took it to the floor. I may be wrong, but I think it’s safe to say someone was mad. Peep the link to the video. This is how I felt pretty much the entire time.
Ah yes. That MJ gif never gets old.
So lastly. Damn the gas prices. If it continues to go up, this will probably be the last C.A. I hit up for a minute.

So I finally started a Soundcloud account. Actually, I apparently signed up for one a long time ago and forget. Ah well.
So if you ever want to check out some remixes, you can just stream it from the cloud of sound. Enjoy.

The New York Blue Funk Orchestra.
These cats were taking a little westcoast tour, hittin’ the streets. The video gets real juicy about halfway. Oh, the sweet sound of live percussion…HEAT!

SO… my co-worker Alvin goes “Yo… have you checked out the 8Bit joints Kevin produced?” I was kind of thrown… “KEVIN THE INTERN? I didn’t even know he dabbled with music!”, I said
So I caught up with Kev, who apparently goes by “10yr” I just found out… He goes “Yeah man I JUST finished my Nate Dogg tribute!”
Here are some of the other projects he has put together… DOPE shit!!! Enjoy!!!
Dope material. Definetly feeling her music. Visit www.still1.com for more info.

Here’s another rendition of Ms. Fat Booty that didn’t make 2 u 4 u. Figured that since it didn’t make the mixtape, I’ll just put it out there as a single download for all you party people. Gotta love messing with them acapellas. Visit Still1.com for more nitty gritty.

Superbowl Sunday. What did I end up doing?
Pretty much this. T’was lovely to have most of San Diego either in their homes or at a bar while our little group traveled in and out of some random spots without worrying about people. And … it was a lovely warm day … a little too warm … but lovely nonetheless.
I commend these two for being down to drive all the way from LA to do this shoot. They pretty much had their whole wardrobe in their car. They could have kicked it in San Diego for a week and been fitted every day INCLUDING the evening attire. Thats how official they were. They even “bought” confetti and balloons to use during some points of the shoot. So straight up … they weren’t playing.
All in all, it was a fun day. Shout out to Samath and Julie for providing the background music and guiding the two females during the day. Every time it came down to a scene, all I can hear was “MOVE IT … GEEEET ITTTTT … THINK ABOUT WHAT YOOOOUUUUUU WANT … THINK ABOUT GUYS AND THEIR HUGE #%*@%!!!!”
And to end it all … Mexican food and Cupcakes. Good times.

I remember when Raichous let me listen to this back in 2003. I was like “UGHHHHHH!” Then I let my “super duper go dumb hyphy homies” from Sacramento peep the mix … and they were like “WTF is this?” Then they took my iPod, smashed it on the ground and started playing some Messy Marv … … . not really. But would’ve been funny.

Props to Godoyski for a damn good show. He pretty much had Thumbprint gallery packed. Even though the venue was small as hell (which I actually kinda like), I don’t think he would have had a problem providing traffic in a bigger joint. Artwork was mad fresh. Shout out to all the Bboys/Bgirls, artists, and DJs that pulled through to show some love. Sho’ was a whole lot of talent under the roof that fine evening. And props to Saso Freshness for his first time playing Sound Selector in front of a crowd. Good times. Visit www.Still1.com for more info.
